Home is my 2 babies and me. Home is nightly picnics on the dining room floor. Home is a teething baby. Home is an almost 4 year old boy who is obsessed with dogs and babies and who pretended to birth a baby dog out of his belly tonight and made me be the doctor who scooped the baby out, cesarean style just like he and G were scooped out of me. Home is evenings in the studio. Home is feeling a little lonely and very full all at the same time. Home is inviting new friends in. Home is family, the biological kind and the created kind. Home is looking in the mirror and not quite recognizing myself. Home is so much love and exhaustion and crankiness and wonder, all wrapped up together. Home is safety. Home is memories. Home is everything. (Here's the full message I wrote when I painted it.)

My life changed dramatically in August 2018 when my husband suddenly died and then again in January 2019 when my baby girl was born. Creating nearly daily art has been one of the main ways I've tuned in to my feelings and to myself as I've moved forward. Sharing the art that I've been making and the messages I've been giving to myself has been a powerfully healing part of my journey, and I'm so grateful to have the opportunity to share my images and thoughts with you.

 

 

Many products are packaged with care and shipped from my Portland, OR studio via the USPS. (Ex: art prints, paintings, books, oracle card decks.) Orders are typically shipped between 1-3 days from the time of placing your order.

Some items are printed to order (ex: wall calendars, iPhone cases, T-shirts) and are shipped directly to you from the manufacturer, separately from other items in your order. Please allow 1-2 weeks for these items to arrive (in the USA) and approximately 4-5 weeks for international orders.

Prints are signed and dated, packaged in a plastic sleeve with chipboard backing, shipped in a bend-proof mailer.

Original paintings are signed and dated on the back. They are wrapped in bubble wrap and packaged carefully to prevent damage.

For international buyers: Once your order leaves the USPS I have no tracking information until it is delivered by your local service. Please note: Some countries charge an import or custom’s fee. You are responsible for the fees imposed by your country's postal service. International orders typically arrive between 1-4 weeks from the time of shipment.

MY PROCESS

Every piece of art and every product that I make begins with an intention to connect with my intuition and with myself. Who am I today, and what do I need? Making art smooths out life’s rough edges and helps me make sense of all the complex feelings and experiences that are part of being human. Creating helps me find joy, acceptance, and gratitude. It is a balm for my soul, and I hope the things I make will feel like a balm for yours, too.

Whether it is a piece of wall art for your home that I created using paint, markers, and colored pencils, a deck of animal totem oracle cards, a bright, patterned iPhone case, or a hand-drawn greeting card — every single product that I sell is made with heart. Most products are made right here in my studio in Portland, OR.

My work is created both traditionally and digitally; my favorite materials and tools include acrylic paint, gouache, colored pencils, paint markers, wood panels, fabric, my computer, and my iPad Pro and Apple Pencil. I also sometimes use fun things like glitter, resin, and sequins!
