I can’t believe how much fun I’m still having with this project. I’ve created around 80 of these animal totem paintings so far, which feels sort-of incredible to me. The is the longest I’ve ever stuck with this type of daily project (even though it’s ended up being more like 5 or 6 times a week, not daily, but you know what I mean).

And the really fun thing is that when I finished the Vulture one above yesterday, I now have a full alphabet of animals, A through Z.

I’m pretty obsessed with how they all look together. I didn’t originally set out to create an alphabet series, but once I realized I was practically there, I started filling in all the strange letters. X, Q, etc. I’ll probably switch some out (for example, I don’t think I need Arctic Fox and Fox in the same set), but all in all, it pleases me to see these together.

I am really, really excited about the possibilities that exist for this project. I’m going to create an oracle deck for sure, though I don’t know when that will be complete and ready for purchase – I’m working on nailing down a manufacturer, settling on size specs, etc –  lots of folks are asking me! I’ll keep you posted here as that all comes together.

I’m thinking, too, that a fun set of alphabet cards for kids might be great. Or a big alphabet poster. Or a matching game. Or or or….

I’m also going to have a big ol’ sale at some point and sell these original paintings, because I’ve got quite the stack going on at this point. So stay tuned for that!
